The park has asked us to support this event and we will be creating some sort of static display. I need to let them know what we are doing so all ideas welcome and asap please. The email blast system seems to have a life of it's own so sorry for the crappy emails that have been issued recently if indeed anybody got them!

Hi Rod some ideas for you. Local model shop advertising business cards etc to point any new comers in the right direction. Static display of models plus perhaps a working trainer to show controls etc. Buddy lead to show what to expect. Trial flight voucher that can be presented at our field for a short go on a buddy lead. I am prepared to loan some models for the static display and do the trial flights if someone can loan me a trainer similar to what they would buy from a model shop.

Think we need as many heads together as we can get to agree what we will display. I have ordered a vinal banner so folks know who we are. The event shelters will be useful. We will need a few big models and some helis. Tom thinks it would be ok to fly some indoor stuff if the weather is good. So Steven's mrx heli and a hornet or two? Dougie's Parkzone Extra? I have set about installing radio control in two kids electric scooters. The idea being kids and adults can control them remotely round a short driving course. Ok it aint flying but it uses a tranny. Please try and be available Sunday AM to discuss and agree what we are doing.

I submitted our application and insurance to Palacerigg today. Anne who is organising was not available. Can we do a flight sim? There are two longhouses available with power. I need to know if we can do it. We would need a big screen telly and the flight sim and pc. Probably no use outdoors but we could get a small space indoors if we really wanted. Someone needs to own this, I have too much on with the cars and other prep. Who is volunteering for the flight sim experience? So far we have a static display, a banner, shelter, we need to print flyers for a flying demo / buddy box demonstration day at our site, when? I have two toddler quad bikes kitted out with remote control and water pistols. I might do an obsticle track, garages, bridges, cones etc. Small possibility of running a RC boat on the duck pond, not a fast boat but a paddle steamer or a puffer. I will speak to John at Uddingstone. Can you please make the efort to be up on Sunday so we can finalise what is happening and who is responsible for each part of the display.

I've a spare 42" Flatscreen. A bit past its day (ie non Hi Def) but has a VGA computer input. I'll crank it up and check it still works. In fact happy to donate it to to the club. Stick it up in the cabin on a power inverter and you can keep flying when the rains on. Might be a useful training tool too!
