Here's a few I've come across in the last few days:

When you download the Cumbernauld scenery, you need to unzip it before it works.

Clicking "Spektrum" for your transmitter doesn't do anything. You need to hit the arrow, the DX8 or whatever. Not obvious.

I can't seem to land on the club field. Plane always breaks, no matter how gentle.

I often get "cannot connect" when trying to go online. Then it works for no apparent reason.

The club session "room" is usually called "CMFC"

Add yours below please.

OK so I have been getting asked on more than one occasion

"How do I set helis up on Phoenix"

So here is my answer :-

1. Open the flight simulator and have you transmitter ready to use.

2. Go to system then your controls.

3. Chose your transmitter then click on edit profile.

4. Scroll the window down until you get to Helicopters.

5. Bellow I will list the controls :-

Collective pitch = Throttle

Cyclic Pitch = Forward and back (Elevator)

Cyclic roll = Left and right (Ailerons)

Tail rotor = swings the tail left and right (Rudder)

Throttle hold = Hold switch on the transmitter OR a Keyboard Key

Idle Up = 3 position switch OR a Keyboard button

Gyro Mode = Gear switch on transmitter OR Keyboard switch (Personally I leave it unmapped)

Toggle Governor = same as Idle up (Personally I leave it unmapped)

Governor RPM Control = same as idle up (Personally I leave it unmapped)

Flybarless Mode = any switch you like (Personally I use a keyboard key)

6. Go for a hover and see what needs reversed, It will depend on what transmitter you are using for what needs reversing.

7. Trim the heli out then GO HAVE FUN!!!

Any questions just ask and I’ll gladly help you out.

Trial Bike Damage

If you see the two young trial bike riders or hear them in the lanes then please phone the police on this number and report that they are in the Palacerigg lane system. 01236 503900.

Please be sure it is two bikes, there are occasional single riders who will not return to the expected location the police are aware of.

Do not break down the perimeter fence for any reason. Do not climb the fence and disturb the hawthorn we have piled against the fence. Use the main gate if you are exiting or entering the premises.

Do not break through the hedge to the rear of the car park. If you must use the public facilities at Palacerigg.
